Prof. Galli at Congress of S.I.R.A. (Italian Society Animal Reproduction)

Prof. Cesare Galli took part at the 11th Congress organised by S.I.R.A. (Italian Society Animal Reproduction) which was held in Ustica from the 19th to the 22nd  of June. Prof. Galli gave a talk entitled :”The Role of assisted reproductioin in animal breeding and genetic engineering”. During his talk, the state of the art of the assisted reproduction techniques such as Artificial Insemination (AI), Multiple Ovulation and Embryo Transfer (MOET) and in vitro embryo production (IVEP) was presented together with the impact that those techniques have had over the years on the animal breeding, particurarly on bovine. Furthermore, the SCNT (somatic cell nuclear transfer) technique was illustrated pointing out its potential applications in the area of genetic engineering and regenerative medicine.
