The conference with the "Biotechnology of reproduction meet genomics" was held on the 5th of May, 2009 with an interesting scientific program and internationally renowned speakers, bringing together the major players in the industry of breeding and selection of Italian cattle breeds. In all the presentations the fundamental concepts of genomics applied to the cattle industry and the important synergy between this selective approach and modern biotechnology of reproduction with special reference to the technique Ovum Pick Up also associated with the use of sexed semen were presented.
