Avantea will present a seminar in Horse Fair in Verona, a important international fair of horses from 3rd to 6th November 2011.
During the seminar on Friday, November 4th, 2011 from 16 to 18 h, Avantea is going to illustrate the benefits of the latest technology for assisted reproduction in the horse: Ovum Pick Up. Avantea will also be available to answer questions and public curiosity.

- Ovum pick-up: the most advanced equine reproductive technology. Professor Cesare Galli - Director Avantea The Ovum Pick Up is the first-class technology to generate offsprings. It can be repeated several times on the same horse at any time of year, even outside the breeding season. Ovum Pick Up is the production of embryos by oocyte recovery and in vitro fertilisation. It is recommended for all mares and stallions, including:
- infertile or aged mares;
- mares from which more foals or embryos are desirable; • sporting mares that cannot carry a pregnancy;
- infertile stallions or with limited semen available.
Embryos can be transfered in recipient mares or safely frozen and marketed worldwide.
