Avantea, in collaboration with A.I.A. LGS and the Parco Tecnologico Padano, with the support of the Lombardy Region is organizing the international conference “Developments, opportunities and research projects for selection and assisted reproduction in dairy cow and buffalo breeding. "The conference will be held on the 26th of October 2012 at CremonaFiere (room "Zelioli Lanzini") on the occasion of the 67th International Dairy Cattle Show.
The aim of the conference is to illustrate the development and prospects of the genetic improvement methods based on genomics and assisted reproduction for cow and buffalo farming.
The conference will focus on the state of the art of the new methods of selection and assisted reproduction and the experience as part of breeding programs and assisted reproduction in other European countries such as the Netherlands and France will be presented. Furthermore, ongoing research programs funded with the contribution of Lombardy Region will be presented.
