17 June 2011: Prof. Galli invited speaker in Krakow, conference on Equine Reproduction

The Department of Animal Reproduction and Anatomy, Faculty of Agriculture of University of Krakow, Poland, hosted an international conference on "Assisted Reproductive Techniques in the Horse" on June 17th 2011.

Prof. Cesare Galli of Avantea was invited speaker and presented lectures on the topic of equine cloning and in vitro fertilization (ICSI).

Other relevant speakers have been invited to take part in the conference: Twink Allen, that recently achieved the Animal Healt Trust Equestrian Awards at the Royal Lancaster Hotel London for his for his pioneering work with the now closing equine fertility, Patricia L Sertich, Director, Equine Endometrial Biopsy Service at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, and Director of Clinical Service, Georgia and Philip Hofmann Research Center for Animal Reproduction, New Bolton Center.

One of the sessions of the conference was dedicated to Marian Tischner, who celebrated his 75th birthday as well as 50 years of his scientific career. Marian is still a very active scientist and currently he is writing a book on mare’s reproduction.
