15 Apr 2011: Open Innovation Day at Cremona Chamber of Commerce

Prof. Cesare Galli of Avantea took part to the Open Innovation Day, as a pioneer in the field of biotechnology research and animal reproductive advanced technologies. The event was open to everyone and was held from 9am on Friday 15th of April 2011 at the Cremona Chamber of Commerce, Auditorium "Sala Borsa".

In the organization of the Open Innovation Day, the fundamental objective was to combine research entities with business companies, institutions, students and citizens in a unique innovative interaction.
In particular, high school students, very important source of ideas, were free to actively participate in the debate and discussions that arised during the day. There was also the award for a student photo contest, whose theme was always open innovation.

The Open Innovation Day was organized in the context of the Project CLIQ "Creating Local Innovation Through a Quadruple Helix", hosted by the Chamber of Commerce of Cremona together with other 16 partners from 10 European countries, started with the aim to create local innovation involving civil society in innovation and dissemination (a key concept of the open innovation philosophy).
