Avantea announces that Equitechnic, a leading equine reproduction center in France, has joined the Group, marking a further step in its European growth strategy.
This move is part of a broader strategy aimed at strengthening Avantea’s presence in key markets, while maintaining a model based on scientific excellence, process control and proximity to breeders. With this development, Avantea brings its consolidated expertise in OPU-ICSI directly to the French market, expanding the opportunities available to breeders.
Equitechnic will continue to operate under its current structure, maintaining the team led by Marc Spalart. The center will preserve its identity and long-standing client relationships, ensuring full operational continuity while expanding its service offering with the introduction of OPU-ICSI.
“The equine reproduction market is evolving rapidly, and OPU-ICSI is becoming increasingly central for breeders who aim to fully maximize the genetic potential of their mares,” says Marc Spalart, General Manager of Equitechnic. “Joining Avantea will allow us to support our clients in this evolution.”
The integration aims to complement and strengthen the services already provided by Equitechnic through the introduction of OPU-ICSI. At the same time, Avantea confirms the continuation of its collaboration with partner clinics in France, which will remain central to OPU activities, ensuring flexibility and operational continuity for breeders.
“We bring directly to France a know-how built over more than 30 years, with the goal of supporting breeders through reliable, science-based solutions in a key region for sport horse breeding,” says Cesare Galli, co-founder of Avantea.
With this step, and following the recent opening of Avantea NL in the Netherlands, Avantea strengthens its position as a leading European player in equine assisted reproduction.
