The AETE Pioneer Award is one of the most important scientific recognitions in the field of assisted animal reproduction.<\/p>\n<p>This award recognises the important contributions Prof. Galli has made since the beginning of his thirty-year long career: first in Cambridge (UK) and then at the Laboratory of Reproduction Technologies (LTR) in Cremona now Avantea.<\/p>\n<p>The AETE conference was held in Bath, UK, on the 8th and 9th September 2017. The award ceremony was preceded by a lectio magistralis by Prof. Galli entitled \u201cAchievements and unmet promises of assisted reproduction technologies in farm animals: a personal perspective\u201d.\u2028The conference gathered more than 200 delegates from all over Europe.<\/p>\n<p>The aim of AETE is to facilitate the diffusion and application of embryo technologies in mammals by creating a forum for the exchange of scientific, technical and practical knowledge at a European level and by organizing regular meetings that encourage the participation of scientists, professionals, technicians and students.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>During the 33rd annual convention of the European Embryo Technologies Association (AETE), Prof. Cesare Galli, founder and director of Avantea in Cremona, was honored with the prestigious AETE Pioneer Award.
