The 44th IETS (International Embryo Technology Society) Annual Conference took place in Bangkok, where academics, scientists and professionals from all over the world gathered to discuss the latest developments in reproductive and embryo biotechnologies. Main topics included cloning and epigenetic regulation of gametes, embryo development and differentiation, in vivo and in vitro strategies to enhance fertility and reduce generation intervals, and the contrasting fates of mitochondria following fertilization in mammals. Professor Cesare Galli represented Avantea at the meeting and chaired the session “Clones and lives less ordinary”. The three speakers participating in the session reviewed the state of the art in cloning dogs, horses and camels.
