The FISE Young Horses 2025 Finals confirm the excellence of Avantea ICSI horses

From September 4–8, the Arezzo Equestrian Centre hosted the finals of the FISE Young Horses 2025 circuit: a key event for breeders, riders, and industry professionals, offering a clear overview of the evolution of show jumping in Italy.

Once again, the finals confirmed an unmistakable trend: horses born through OPU-ICSI at Avantea not only compete but also win at the highest sporting level.

In the 4, 5, and 6-year-old categories, Avantea horses claimed first place, winning three out of four titles and demonstrating the reliability, genetic quality, and competitive potential of embryos produced in vitro using advanced technologies. A result that highlights the growing centrality of reproductive biotechnology in modern show jumping and the clear direction already taken by the market.

Victories for Avantea horses in the 4, 5, and 6-year-old categories

The results speak for themselves: Avantea horses reached the top of the podium in three of the four main classes.

4-year-old class: victory for Alessandro Colombo with Daydream 2000 Z

5-year-old class: victory for Guido Franchi with Belle Z

6-year-old class: victory for Filippo Sertori with Only You di Villagana

In the 7-year-old class, victory went instead to Alessandro Colombo with Secret Music L3B, the only non-Avantea horse among the four champions.

These successes confirm the high genetic and sporting quality of embryos produced by Avantea, now chosen by an ever-growing number of top breeders and riders.

A prize for the future: Avantea and the road to Lanaken

To further strengthen its commitment to the sector’s growth, Avantea rewarded the three winners with a free OPU-ICSI procedure — a concrete contribution to supporting the reproduction of valuable horses and preserving their bloodlines.

This recognition is not only symbolic but also strategic: all three winning pairs will represent Italy at the prestigious FEI WBFSH Jumping World Breeding Championship for Young Horses in Lanaken, Belgium.

Avantea wild cards for Lanaken

In addition to the winners, Avantea awarded four special wild cards to other pairs who stood out in the circuit and will therefore also compete in Lanaken:

Guido Franchi with Bijou Van’t Klavertje Vier Z

Edoardo Ingrà with Starbello Van’t Goolder

Francesca Ciriesi with Dakota EH Z

Alessandro Colombo with Sushi L3B

This choice strengthens Avantea’s role not only as a reproductive biotechnology laboratory but also as an active partner in the development of top-level sport and in the promotion of young equestrian talents.

The Arezzo Finals clearly pointed to one direction: the future of sport horse breeding lies in innovation, genetic selection, and supporting those who invest in quality. Avantea will continue to be part of this journey, alongside breeders and riders.
