FISE Young Horses Circuit sponsored by Avantea: results of the third leg

Avantea’s commitment to excellence in sport horse breeding confirmed once again

On Sunday, the third leg of the FISE Young Horses Circuit came to a close — a key event for the promotion of young equine talents, featuring the best 5-, 6-, and 7-year-old horses. The competition, supported by Avantea — a leading company in equine reproductive biotechnology — once again highlighted the company’s concrete commitment to genetic selection and the development of sport horse breeding in Italy.

7-Year-Olds – Grand Prix H145 + MASAF High Level

In the Grand Prix reserved for 7-year-old horses (1.45 m), victory went to Rebecca Balvi riding Cartinos, a promising 2018 bay Holsteiner by Cartiano. The pair, representing Scuderia Monteleone ASD, delivered a double clear round and stopped the clock at 49.04 seconds, confirming their position among the top performers in the category.

Second place went to Matteo Leonardi with Belinda de la Croix Renard Z, by the renowned Big Star. Despite a very fast jump-off time of 44.15 seconds, a fault compromised the final score. Completing the podium was Filippo Jordan Pagan Griso riding Nickelodeon VDL, who finished with just one time penalty.

Fourth place went to Alessandro Colombo on Sushi L3B, followed by Morgan Bisi with Sky Breaker JW van’t Meulenhof — both finishing with 4 faults in this highly selective class.

6-Year-Olds – Grand Prix H135 + MASAF High Level

In the 6-year-old class (1.35 m), victory went to Marta Marelli with Novack de Virton, a 2019 Selle Belge bay who displayed balance, power, and great competitive maturity. The pair, representing Garden Horses ASD, finished double clear with a time of 53.67 seconds.

Behind her were Daniele Cuva riding Osyris, a KWPN grey by Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve, and Simone Paciotti with Million Blue del Rilate, bred by Allevamento Rilate, both incurring 4 faults in the second phase.

Completing the top five were Francesco Correddu, who placed Deboi in fourth, and Alice Eulisse with Jamais Deux Sans Toi, confirming the increasingly high level of competition in this class.

5-Year-Olds – Two-Phase H125 + MASAF High Level

In the class reserved for the youngest 5-year-olds, Filippo Codecasa claimed victory aboard Hallsmill Lilly, an Irish Sport Horse mare by Ganesh Hero Z, completing the course double clear in a lightning-fast 32.77 seconds.

Second place went to his sister, Elena Codecasa, riding Comme Toi, followed by teammate Francesco Correddu, who placed two horses in the top five: Easy F.L. (third) and Dhuilio de le Garzide Z (fourth). Rounding out the top five was Clint Sulmoni with Non Plus Ultra, a daughter of Cornet Obolensky.

Avantea: innovation and genetics serving the future of sport

Avantea’s role as title sponsor of the circuit is no coincidence: for years, the Cremona-based company has been an international leader in assisted reproduction for sport horses, using cutting-edge technologies such as OPU-ICSI. Supporting a circuit dedicated to young horses perfectly aligns with the company’s mission to enhance genetics and select the champions of tomorrow, providing concrete support to breeders, trainers, and riders in Italy.

This investment in the future is reflected in the growing quality of horses competing, many of which boast exceptional bloodlines and are the result of careful reproductive planning. A demonstration of how the synergy between biotechnology and sport can represent a winning formula for the development of the entire equine sector.
