From September 4–8, Avantea took part as an official sponsor at the 2025 Bundeschampionate in Warendorf, one of the most prestigious events on the German calendar, dedicated to the country’s best young sport horses.
The event, which each year attracts thousands of breeders, riders, and industry professionals, offered Avantea an important opportunity to strengthen its presence in the German market, reinforce existing relationships, and meet new stakeholders interested in advanced assisted reproduction techniques.
Growing interest in OPU-ICSI
Throughout the event, many breeders and veterinarians showed strong interest in the OPU-ICSI procedure, recognizing its potential also within the German context. While only a few years ago these technologies were considered niche, today the German sector is increasingly looking to solutions that make it possible to enhance high-level mares still in sport, and to optimize the use of frozen or genetically rare semen.
With over 20 years of experience in the field and a well-established network of international partners, Avantea positions itself as a technical and scientific reference point for those wishing to embrace this path.
A new dialogue with the German market
Participation in the Bundeschampionate marked another step in Avantea’s internationalization journey, aimed at supporting breeders and reproduction centers across Europe. The openness shown by the German market toward these technologies, together with the growing awareness of the benefits of OPU-ICSI, confirms that reproductive biotechnology is entering a new phase of diffusion and maturity.
We are grateful for the warm welcome received in Warendorf and for the great interest shown. The future of sport horse genetics has already begun — and Avantea is ready to accompany German breeders along this path.
